Will the 49cc harness work on the Zuma 125?
No, the connectors are different. You must order the harness
specifically designed for the Zuma 125.

Do I need to replace my stock bulbs to use the Dual
Headlight Harness?
No, the stock bulbs in the Yamaha Zuma 49cc and 125cc are dual filament bulbs meaning
they already have high and low beams and do not need to be replaced.
I don't know
anything about working on scooters. Will I be able to install the
harness?
Yes, even if you have never worked on your Zuma, installation is very
easy with the supplied detailed instructions.
Will the 49cc harness hurt
the scooter/battery/charging system?
No. This harness has been road tested thousands of miles on
hundreds of scooters by hundreds of our customers with no adverse effects. It is 100% safe for
your Yamaha Zuma.
Note: Adding additional electrical accessories to your
scooter could cause your battery to drain more quickly depending on many
variables. The age of your battery, how it's been stored, how often
it's used, proper original charge from the dealer, and driving habits all
affect battery performance. Also if your scooter doesn't start right
away with the electric start, then more frequent use of the starter could
drain your battery more quickly.
The first thing to stop working because of a drained battery is usually
the electric start as it draws a lot from the battery. The headlights will still work because they are ran off the magneto generator
although they may be dim at idle. Adding the Zumalights 49cc harness to
your scooter will not cause any damage to your charging system or battery.
The most common cause of a drained or dead battery is
the key left in the "on" position. Another common problem is
corroded battery terminals or a blown fuse. If you notice your
battery has drained, charge it as soon as you can with an appropriate
battery charger like a
Battery Tender.
As recommended by
Yamaha, when storing your scooter or not using it for extended periods,
keep the battery on a charger, or charge it monthly.

How long will it take for delivery?
Orders are usually processed and shipped within one to three business days
but can vary depending on the size of the order and other factors. USPS delivery times vary from
1 to 5 days. Packages are shipped USPS First-Class mail. Packages shipped to Canada typically take about two weeks.
What model years will this harness work with?
The 49cc headlight kit will work with the 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008,
2009, 2010
and 2011 Yamaha Zuma. The 125cc kit will work with the 2009, 2010 and 2011 Zuma 125. Please note that if the
date of manufacture on your scooter is during the fall of 2001, you may
have a 2002 model Zuma. If your scooter has the bug-eyed
headlights like the pictures on this website, you have a 2002 Zuma.
